What We Need
Bread Cooperative is built by the people who use it. We are a small team and we rely on contributors with a range of skills — technical and non-technical — to keep things moving.
We are looking for people with emotional maturity, a cooperative spirit, and the ability to work autonomously. Experience in democratic or cooperative environments is a plus, but not required. If you’re new to this way of working, we recommend reading Better Work Together from the folks at Enspiral, which informs a lot of how we operate.
Skills we’re looking for
Section titled “Skills we’re looking for”We welcome contributions across development, writing, design, marketing, community building, and business development. Contributions can be continuous or one-off, paid or volunteer, depending on your situation.
If you’re a developer, our stack includes wagmi, ethers, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and Solidity. Our GitHub is at github.com/BreadchainCoop.
If you are contributing to AVS work, see the EigenLayer resource page for background reading and recommended resources.
What contributing leads to
Section titled “What contributing leads to”Contributors are not the same thing as the core team. The core team is the most dedicated group of contributors — they attend weekly standups, track tasks, and become signers in the shared treasury wallet. Some receive a monthly wage.
Joining the core team requires having first contributed as a non-core contributor and being nominated by an existing core team member. See Core Team for the full details.
