Overview
There are two ways in, and they work differently. Pick the one that matches who’s asking.
Contributors
Section titled “Contributors”For individuals. You bring a skill — development, writing, design, marketing, community building, business development — and put it to work on the cooperative itself. Contributions can be continuous or one-off, paid or volunteer.
There’s no gate to clear before you start. Join the Discord, come to a community call, take on a task. Contributors who stick around can be nominated to the core team.

Member Projects
Section titled “Member Projects”For organisations. Member projects make up the Bread Cooperative network: each holds a seat in the Shared Treasury multisig and receives a share of the monthly yield distribution from the Solidarity Fund.
This one does have a gate. Projects are nominated by an existing member and accepted only by unanimous vote, and membership comes with ongoing commitments — monthly governance calls, a minimum $BREAD holding, and active use of $BREAD in your community.
- Eligibility — what we look for and whether you’re a fit
- Responsibilities — what’s expected once you’re in
- How to Apply — the application process
- Onboarding — what happens between acceptance and your first voting cycle
